Back-end or server code and front-end or client code. Two distinct worlds. Two separate universes.
Well, not anymore. Code once and reap the results everywhere. That's universal web development in a nutshell.
The course begins by laying down a strong understanding of the needs for universal web. Each of our awesome videos, which you can speed up or slow down to match your own learning pace, will build on this foundation.
Once you have the knowledge, you'll get hands-on experience building a universal web application with React, Express, and Node.js. You'll learn how to render React components on the server, fetch data with AJAX/XHR, create routing on the server, and pass the data to the browser React. By the end of the course, you'll be able to build a high-performance universal web app that will support SEO as well as provide a range of other benefits.
